Presentation of the Trilingual Anthology Embroidered by Fate: The Vyshyvanka

On May 16, 2026, a presentation of the contemporary Ukrainian short story anthology Embroidered by Fate: The Vyshyvanka was held in Kraków, at the concert hall of the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology.

During the event, the speakers discussed the origins of the project, the process of translating the anthology, and its broader cultural mission.

Embroidered by Fate: The Vyshyvanka is an international literary project that brings together forty contemporary Ukrainian authors. Created over the course of two years, the anthology was published by Szwajpolt Fiol Publishing House with the support of the team at the St. Volodymyr Foundation — Fundacja św. Włodzimierza.

The anthology is available in three languages: Ukrainian, as Мереживо долі або вишиванка; Polish, as Wyszywane lozy; and English, as Embroidered by Fate: The Vyshyvanka. It is available in both print and electronic formats.

The collection also features Taisiia Nakonechna’s short story “By Brussels Time,” which was translated into Polish and English for the anthology.
